Sleeping habits, EVOO brownies, HP 7

Things I did today:

1. Slept until 10
2. Finished rereading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
3. Ate the brownies I made the other night

For future reference, using extra virgin olive oil instead of vegetable or canola oil makes no difference. Unfortunately, that means that eating three for breakfast will still make you feel sick.

Instead of talking about the myriad of ways that I'm wasting away my summer, let's talk about what I'm doing tomorrow...

SEEING THE FINAL HARRY POTTER MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It might be cliche, but if Harry Potter was all for real and if Time-Turners existed (and weren't subsequently all destroyed during the battle in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix), I would go back in time to when my elementary school librarian asked me to read Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone to see if I thought the other kids would think it was any good. Or I would ask Hermione to perform a memory charm on me so that I could reread all of the books like it was the first time.

I guess I'll just have to wait until I can relive the magic with my kids someday.

And P.S., that was not me creatively announcing a pregnancy.

Summertime blues, Brett, and bean dip

So far this summer I have done very little.

It has been such an odd transition from waking up at 5:30 am every day and always having work to do to having nothing to do but feed myself and run random errands. If I don't establish some kind of summertime routine, there's going to be trouble.

My little brother's graduation party is this weekend and I've been trying to help my parents get the house ready (long story, but they are trying to put their house back together after painting and getting new carpet) and the graduation video ready. FinalCutPro and I will be best friends by the end of the weekend. Here is a preview of the video:

Still, I'm in desperate need of some hobbies to entertain myself without having to drive to Gilbert every day of my summer.

Suggestions?

On an entirely unrelated note, Fresh and Easy's cuban black bean dip is the greatest bean dip I have ever had.

Happy Birthday Tyler!

Happy Birthday Tyler!
I made these cupcakes today for the birthday boy since they're his favorite cartoon character.
Great success. :) Love you babe.

C is for Cookie, Cupcake, and Chocolate Cravings.

I'm having serious issues with trying to give up sweets.
I'll be lucky if I make it to Thursday.
I can't wait until Mindy's birthday and the smell of delicious, strawberry birthday cake.

For now, I'll just try to curb my sugar cravings by just staring at these pictures and imagining the sugary deliciousness tickling my taste buds... or maybe it's just making things worse.

The Perfect Meal + Fashion is Danger

Today I
took Brett to school,
exercised to an old pilates dvd,
made paper cranes,
ate hummus and pita chips,
cleaned my room,
went to work,
made more cranes,
and then decided to put
strawberries on my bagel with cream cheese
for dinner.

The only other highlight of my day was when I was listening to NPR on my commute and
Bret McKenzie from Flight of the Conchords came on for an interview.
Here's a clip from their new season.

Here's the plan.

I need more Zumba,
muscle,
and yoga in my life.
I'm not looking forward to school starting. My gym time is going to disappear!
Oh well, there will at least always be time for
.

All of these make me happy.

And that's all there is to say about that.
Now back to As I Lay Dying... :/
